Owner and COO/Engineering
Todd's passion is inventing practical solutions to the problems people face. He spent 24 years as the Director of Engineering at an after market fuel tank solutions manufacturer and had the opportunity to patent several key designs during those years. Todd loved working with customers through conceptual design, production of a prototype and initial installation of their project. Bringing to life products that truly meet needs and solve problems is what keeps him going every day. In his new role as the Co-Owner of Nor-Cal Vans, that passion is now focused on transportation solutions. He enjoys being part of a team of people who bring their skills to the table every day to serve our customers. Todd values continuous innovation and improving efficiency along the way. He currently holds 2 system patents and 2 design patents, with 2 more pending.
When he's not inventing you might find Todd farming almonds, walnuts and winter wheat, or helping his dad with his cattle ranch. In addition he loves spending time with his family, shooting rifles & pistols, riding quads at the ranch and on the dunes, and working on his 51 Ford Pickup or his 72 Ford F250 4x4.
Owner and CFO
Laurie is the CFO and Owner of Nor Cal Vans, Inc. along with her husband Todd. After 24 years at another local manufacturing company, Laurie brought to NorCal her extensive experience in cost accounting and manufacturing. Laurie's strengths are in project management and she applies those skills to new market research, advertising plans, purchasing of new equipment, budgeting, and implementing new software to improve efficiencies. Developing relationships with the employees, vendors, and customers is very important to Laurie. Her passion is establishing a work culture that is supportive, encouraging, and a comfortable environment where people enjoy coming to work.
Laurie and Todd have two kids that they are very proud of who are currently attending Chico State (Laurie and Todd’s alma mater) . Their daughter is graduating in May 2019 with an Animal Science degree and was accepted into the U.C. Davis Veterinary School of Medicine. Their son is a sophomore at CSUC and is working on a Criminal Justice degree and planning on joining the Sheriffs Academy after graduation. They enjoy spending time with their family, going to Oregon Quad riding, and spending time on Todd’s family’s ranch.
Eric joined Nor Cal Vans in March 2019 as sales manager, bringing his experience of helping build great teams & culture, along with sales processes to the company.
As a proven leader in the Commercial Van business, Eric believes leadership is an honor and carries with it the responsibility of investing in helping build exceptional talent and teams to drive successful business and brand growth.
Eric comes to Nor Cal Vans with more than 10 years of management and sales experience, having spent 7 years as Commercial Van sales manager for several high volume Mercedes Benz dealerships, where he was responsible for driving strategic growth, industry procurement, team building, streamlining Finance processes, and assisting in handling large national accounts.
He is active in outreach in AA. Eric attended Sierra College.
I have been in the retail automotive mobility industry since 1985. I have carried several titles over the years from being an installer, production manager, inventory manager, sales manager, sales, research and development for new product lines and general manager. I have always considered myself an educator before being a sales person. I spent over 30 years working with persons with disabilities to create ways to gain independence and better quality of life. The personal rewards that are experienced with helping an individual or family gain independence or improve their quality of life is what has kept me so attached to this industry. Excellent customer service and quality are always my main goal when working with customers. I always treat customers the way I expect to be treated especially when customer service challenges arise.
I enjoy mountain biking, running for exercise and participating in 10 k races, snow skiing, water skiing, golf, and enjoying the outdoors riding in the mountain trails or sand dunes in my Polaris RZR side by side with my wife and friends. I like to read mostly Tom Clancy or David Baldacci novels.
Charles is a Purchasing Director with 24 years’ experience ranging from military surplus, digital communication to the automotive industry. Charles specializes in cost reduction analytics furthering overall profit goals within the organization. Believing we are measured buy our results, Charles knows the importance of being accountable to ourselves, each other and to our customers.
When not working at Nor-Cal Vans or on his property in the mountains, Charles and his wife Mona can be found on their boat fishing the local lakes and rivers for whatever happens to be in season.
Greg joined the NorCal Group in 1996 as purchasing manager, but soon found himself in retail sales for NorCal Mobility. He assisted many clients in finding the right mobility products for their needs; from platform scooter carriers to hi-tech adaptive driving equipment. In 2011 Greg moved over to NorCal Vans, where he transferred his years of retail sales experience and product knowledge into dealer support and sales for NorCal Vans lowered-floor Econoline vans through a nationwide retail dealer network.
In 2015 NorCal Vans built their last lowered floor Econoline and turned their attentions to the new Ford Transit. The NorCal Vans lowered floor product could not be offered on the Transit, so NorCal Vans moved away from a retail product, towards a commercial product and commercial market. Greg was the sole salesperson in the beginning, but the product quickly took off and now Greg is part of a growing team of salespersons.
In his spare time, Greg loves woodworking, cycling, and DIY projects around home.
After graduating from California State University Chico, Amanda joined NorCal Vans in 2013 to assist in the office and marketing. As NorCal Vans continued to grow, she expanded her roles to managing vehicle inventory and DBE Officer. Amanda’s responsibilities include assisting sales, vehicle ordering, maintaining internal and external company databases, email campaigns, and creating marketing materials.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys camping and white water rafting with her husband, Matt, and their dog, Riken.
